Welcome back! HCC has resumed instruction of classes online. We are committed to supporting our students in this new environment. Below are two ways you can access Student Services online, and important enrollment dates. 

Summer and Fall Enrollment Dates

  • Monday, April 6 is an open date for Summer registration.

  • Monday, May 4 is the open date for Fall registration.

Apply and Enroll | Spring, Summer and Fall 2020

Step 1: Admissions Application (New Students Only)

The online admissions application is for students who have never enrolled in a course at Houston Community College. If you already have an HCC student ID, please do not submit another application. Having multiple applications in the system with multiple student IDs can lead to problems with tracking documents, so please do not submit another application if you have submitted one before.

Based on your educational goals, you can fill out one of five admissions applications. Click the following link to complete the admissions application process: Online Admissions Application. 

  • Degree-Seeking Application (not for F-1 students) for students seeking college credit or wanting to attend college-level courses. This application is for students seeking college credit or wanting to attend college-level courses as dual-credit student. This Career offers Certificates of Completion; Associate degrees in Arts, Sciences, Teaching and Applied Science. Students may transfer credit to other colleges or universities.

  • F-1 International Student Application for students holding or seeking an F-1 student status/visa who want to complete Intensive English courses, Associate Degrees or Certificates. Students may transfer credit to other colleges and universities.

  • Continuing Education Application for students interested in short-term classes for job training, general knowledge, to learn a new skill, to upgrade existing skills or to explore personal interests. Upon course completion, students may request a certificate of completion from the college and are prepared to take certification and licensure exams.

  • Adult Education Application (not for F-1 students) Adult Education is for students seeking High School Equivalency (HSE) classes designed to improve basic skills and prepare students for the HSE examinations (GED, HiSET, or TASC), ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) for students wanting to speak, read, and write English, Career4U Academy for students who want to receive a workforce certificate in high-growth occupations, and TSI Boot Camp for students who want to prepare for the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment.

  • Adult High School Application for students seeking credit recovery and/or original credit toward high school graduation requirements (students recovering/completing credit receive a high school diploma).


Step 2: To-do List in the Student Center

Your To-do List may have four types of checklist items in your Student Center. Please visit; select "Student Sign In"; and selet to complete all checklist to avoid delays in the processing of your application.

  • Residency: Any change, or request for change in residency status should be submitted along with supporting documentation by email to the enrollment office of the college you will attend. Click here for Residency details.

Step 3: Required Forms

Throughout the admissions and enrollment process, you may have to submit additional documentation to fulfill requirements for enrollment, or to update your records. Should you need to submit additional documentation, the Admissions and Enrollment Office will add it under your Student Center To-Do list or notify you by phone, via email or in-person at one of our campus locations.

Please only submit forms if they are requested. You can access and download the Admissions and Enrollment Forms by clicking here. It’s important that you make submitting requested documentation a priority. Not doing so could result in processing delays or enrollment holds.

Step 5: Enroll for Spring, Summer and Fall 2020 Classes

Below are the Spring, Summer and Fall 2020 Enrollment Deadlines. 

  • Monday, March 30 is the deadline to register for 2nd 8-week classes for the semester.
  • Monday, April 6 is an open date for Summer registration.
  • Monday, May 4 is the open date for Fall registration.
