Our experienced financial aid outreach representatives provide support to help make the financial aid processes easy and straightforward for students, their families and college access professionals.

We make every effort to educate the community by developing collaborative relationships with HCC staff and faculty, K-12 schools, universities, college/career prep organizations, and community programs. With topics ranging from applying for aid through student loan repayment, HCC’s Financial Aid Department is committed to educating communities about resources available to students who plan to or are attending college.

  • Training for College Access Professionals
    • Recognizing that college access professionals play a key role in helping demystify the financial aid process for students, we also focus our outreach efforts on Financial Aid U Training for College Access Professionals and cross-training for Admissions, Enrollment, Student Success and Financial Aid staff.

Before Event Tips, Handouts and Resources

3 Things to Consider Before Your Event

1. Please share what students need to bring to financial aid events you're hosting.

  • FSA ID 
  • Social Security # 
  • Driver's License # 
  • 2018 Tax Information 
  • Records of untaxed income 
  • Records of assets (*money)
  • **If dependent students under the age of 24 are attending the event, please share that they will need all the above information for their parents.

2. Please consider distributing the handout below to your students before or at events.

What to Expect After Submitting Request

  1. You will receive confirmation email. 

  2. We will work on assigning someone to your event. 

  3. The person assigned will reach out to by phone or email to confirm the event details within 72 hours. If you do not hear from anyone within 72 hours, please email
    • If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will communicate this via the contact information provided on your request form. 

  4. We will send you a survey after event is complete.
