The Associate of Arts in Government is intended primarily for students planning on transferring to a senior college or university to receive a baccalaureate degree in Political Science or other Liberal Arts major with the intention of applying to Law School. Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies - Kinesiology & Exercise Science Major / Hybrid Option

Kinesiology and exercise science professionals study the basics of mechanics and anatomy, especially in relation to humans and body movement. Education is available at many levels, ranging from associate's to doctoral degrees. Exercise science and kinesiology are two closely related fields of study, often used interchangeably with one another. These sciences are concerned with the human body and aspects of its movements. Exercise science focuses on the effects physical activity has on the human body. Common areas of study in kinesiology might include biomechanics, exercise physiology and motor control. A variety of careers are available in the fields of exercise science and kinesiology, including personal fitness training, sports management, athletic training, coaching and recreational therapy jobs. Graduates of an exercise science and kinesiology program may also pursue careers in the fields of medicine or education.

Commencing the fall of 1999, all Associate in Arts academic core curriculum courses taken at HCC are guaranteed to transfer and count toward the core curriculum at all Texas public higher educational institutions.
