Summer and Mini-May Registration Now Open | Classes Available May – July

The Summer 2022 schedule is live, and you can now register! Summer classes get you a few steps closer to finishing your degree or certificate. Don’t lose your momentum – enroll this summer and keep moving toward your goal.

There are so many benefits to taking summer classes! Enjoy low-cost courses that are close to home and offer smaller class sizes, shorter semesters, and transferrable credits that will get you one step closer to graduation.

Multiple Start Dates

HCC offers multiple Summer sessions, as well as a mini session that takes place immediately after the Spring semester ends. The Summer course schedule includes:

• Summer Mini (three-week courses)
• Summer 10-wk (10-week courses)
• 5-wk Summer 1 and 2 (five-week courses)
• Summer 8-wk (eight-week courses)

Flexible Courses

The Summer course schedule includes both online and in-person options to build a course schedule that works for your degree plan, work schedule, and responsibilities. When you search for courses, you will be able to choose any of the following instructional modes.

1. Online Anytime | Flexible, traditional online course without scheduled lectures, so you have the flexibility to complete coursework at the times that work best for you.
2. Online on a Schedule | Flexible online course with virtual lectures at scheduled dates and times.
3. Hybrid Lab | Lab class that meets safely face-to-face on-campus and virtually.
4. Hybrid Course | Lecture class that meets safely face-to-face and virtually.
5. In-person Class | Safe, face-to-face courses with traditional meeting patterns.

OPTIONS TO COVER COSTS

With one of the lowest tuitions in Houston, HCC is an affordable option to reach your educational goals. Financial Aid and installment payment plans are available to help you cover costs. 

• Financial Aid: Students who have a 21-22 FAFSA application on file with HCC and are eligible to receive summer financial aid will receive an email notification about their award, and the next steps. If you have a 21-22 FAFSA on file and no outstanding Financial Aid To-do List items, the Financial Aid Office will hold your summer classes until June 3, 2022.
  
  
• Payment Plans: Installment Payment Plans are available for qualifying part-time and full-time students. In order to sign up for a payment plan, you must pay a $30 sign-up fee and a percentage of your total bill as a down payment. After signing up for a payment plan, students are required to make regular installment payments throughout the semester. • Deadline to Have Payment on File: In order to prevent courses from dropping for non-payment, students must meet the deadlines below to have a payment plan or a financial aid award that covers the total cost of the bill.
  • The payment deadline for Summer Mini and classes beginning May 2022 is May 1, 2022 by 10 pm.
  • The payment deadline for Summer classes beginning June and July 2022 is May 22, 2022 by 10 pm. 
  • If you miss the deadline, you will be dropped from classes and must re-register.
  • If you register for a class after the payment deadline, payment is due at the time of enrollment.
