HCCTV has a new look and webpage! Here’s how to use this site for maximum efficiency.
There are four main areas on this new site: About Us, Watch, The Hype on HCC and Announcements.
A look at each section.
The About Us section:
o HCCTV’s weekly and monthly Programming Guide
o Contact information - address, phone numbers and emails
o Production Request Form. This is where video requests – such as event taping and DVD copies – can me be made.
The Watch section:
o The Hype on HCC – a lively, quick daily wrap up of news and events around HCC. Click here, or on The Hype on HCC logo in the middle of the page, and a smaller TV screen appears and plays the 1-2-minute video. You can also check out past editions of The Hype on HCC through our new Video Vault section (more about that below).
o HCCTV live programming – click on Stream Channel 1 to view programming as it appears live on the station.
o Special-event videos – Find promos and special videos 24/7 by clicking on Stream Channel 2.
The Announcements section:
o News items and feature stories about activities and evens at HCCTV. This is where you’ll find in-depth information about upcoming shows… or behind the scenes notes on shows.
The HCCTV Video Vault contains:
o Videos on demand. Click on the show or video of your choice and it will open up into a TV screen. This is where you’ll find expanded offering of daily Hypes, more special-event videos, a catalogue of original programming and the most recent meeting of the HCC Board of Trustees.

FAQs
1). Q - How do I ask HCCTV to cover an event for me, my department or college?
A – Go to the About U section and click on the Production Request Form. This is a fill-in form that gets sent directly to us when you click submit. Be sure to give us at least 2 – 3 days advance notice for your event.
2). Q – How can I watch what you have on the air right now?
A – Go the Watch section and click on Stream Channel 1. This shows the exact same programming aired on HCCTV’s cable TV channels.
3). Q – How do I request a copy of a particular show I saw on HCCTV?
A – Fill out a Production Request Form under the About Us section. There’s a place on this form in which you can order a DVD.
4). Q – I have a great idea for a show. How can I get it made on HCCTV?
A – HCCTV evolving into a showcase of the myriad of offerings and activities around HCC. Our focus will increasingly become on HCC’s students, staff and faculty in an effort to encourage potential students to attend our institution. Shows produced outside of HCC are welcomed to air, provided they are professionally produced and in good taste. We like documentaries on Houston, its people and history. 5). Q – I noticed you run community events on screen and in a crawl. How do I add my event to these lists?
A – HCCTV welcomes community news and events. They become part of the HCCTV Bulletin Board or HCCTV crawl. Please send your information to willie.bryant@hccs.edu or call Mrs. Bryant at 713-718-6273 for details.
6). Q – Do you take sponsorships of programs?
A – Yes. HCCTV welcomes sponsors. Sponsors can promote their affiliation with a show or the station via 15 or 30-second spots. There are certain restrictions. Sponsors can’t issue a “call to action” or a request to have viewers buy or purchase any merchandise. We can allow sponsors to present their logo, website, phone number and slogan.
