Health Care Career Academy Website Launches

HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences is proud to announce the launch of the Health Care Career Academy web site. This new program, a partnership between the HCC Campuses and HCC Coleman, provides students with basic knowledge and job skills for entry-level positions in health care. Additionally, students will be eligible to submit a resume and related materials to an opportunity bank for consideration by participating health care institutions for entry-level employment, allowing them to continue their education at HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences while being employed in a health care environment.

The purpose of the Health Care Career Academy (HCCA) is to educate students about the health care industry in preparation for entry-level employment and to select an appropriate educational program in the health care cluster. Students will explore and determine their personal fit to various occupations within the health care industry and create a health career educational plan to achieve their professional goals. They will develop first-hand experiences associated with various occupational areas within health care. All learning and skill development will be completed in preparation for entry-level employment as well as completion of a health career program leading to certification, licensure, and/or degree.

We will be updating this page with a wide range of videos, photographs and feature stories showcasing all of HCC Coleman's health care programs and how the Health Care Career Academy is helping students find their place in the health care industry.
